The mid term election has very little to do with gas prices.
Commodities trade in a 3 year time frame.
We are in a recession which will cause demand destruction.
I believe from the charts I look at<> we will see mid $85.00 oil before we see $105-$110.00 oil
Please note the big news today which I am surprised that you didn't comment on.
Goldman Sachs is screaming to buy commodities.
Yes they are the sane wonderful people who said gold was going to $2,500.00 by year end. <>several months back.
Again yes the traders(speculators) jump in and get caught by the professionals and watch their money change hands.
Never feel comfortable being on the same side of the trade as GS & JP Morgan
Yes the Fed as I stated in my Friday comment jawboned the market down with fear & panic<> and that is carrying the panic from Friday into this weeks market.
The best short 8 minute speech in my life time to freak the market out.
It bought them time <>The Fed.
When he does raise them in September it again will shock the market.
Then we will be nearing an end to rate hikes.
The Fed is trapped.
Personally I would love to see him squeeze all the speculators out of the stock and commodity market<>but that is never going to happen.
What would surprise me and the global markets if they just made an announcement before their next meeting<>that would crush the speculators.
