Excellent commentary. It is difficult to buy stock in any large corporation or sector without some moral qualms. They all seem to impart some measure of evil on the world but at least most of them also serve a valuable useful purpose. I agree with you on withholding from investing in arms/defense contractors as they do not provide humanity with any benefit but merely inflict harm and misery- unless you subscribe to the premise that the end justifies the means but doing so is only a means of justification for thinking our side is the righteous one and those we harm deserve it.
