Lions and friends…
Ever wonder where the term “Mortgage” comes from?
The word Mortgage comes from Old French morgage, literally meaning “dead pledge,” or “death pledge” from mort (dead) and gage (pledge).
So when you sign on the line for your “mortgage,” not only are you entering into an agreement between you and the lender which gives the lender the right to take your property if you fail to repay the money you've borrowed plus interest… its a DEATH PLEDGE.
(Banks/Death Pledge…. imagine my shock!)
