IMHO there is nothing the US military can do to protect the US dollar as the reserve currency. The primary reason is JB in the WH. Could not even order the downing of a Chinese spy balloon flying over our military bases. JB pleaded with the Saudis to keep pumping cheaper oil. They gave him the international salute. The US dollar as the reserve currency is slowly slipping away. Like holding onto a rope bathed in grease.
