These people are in trouble...from SP Global this morning: (A small community bank in NY needs a BILLION DOLLARS TO SURVIVE...we are truly screwed.
Institutional investors and certain members of New York Community Bancorp Inc.'s management will make over $1 billion equity investment in the company that includes more than $450 million from Liberty Strategic Capital, $250 million from Hudson Bay Capital Management LP and $200 million from Reverence Capital Partners LP, as part of the transaction, the company said in a news release. In connection with the investment, Joseph Otting, former US comptroller of the currency, will assume the CEO role and join the board with former Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, Hudson Bay's Allen Puwalski and Reverence Capital Managing Partner Milton Berlinski as new members. Citadel Securities LLC is also an investor, the company said.
Mr. Greg, why would anyone believe that the real 10-yr yield is 4.08 ? As a wise man has said, "Every Company has two sets of books, the one's you see and the one's they see." Does the same note hold true for graphs on a screen?
