Reality and statistics are two different things. Do not believe the bullshit that 400 K file for unemployment. Unemployment is a fantastic deal.
People are loaded with extra cash and not afraid to spend it. Apartment complexes with $2000 a month rent are full, clubs are full, starbucks full, at restaurants 1 hour wait is common. I have no idea why it is a bad economy. This narrative that the economy is collapsing has been prevalent since 2008 and yet all 5 star hotels with $300 a day rooms had been full till the pandemic. Every travel destination has been overflowing with tourists. Lets give this "bad economy" narrative a rest.
