The people emptying the shelves are not the "hoarders", they are the week-to-week buyers who never look ahead to next week and now they're panicking. As soon as the threat is over, they go back to buying week-to-week. I used to can and freeze enough food for a year every year. Now I mostly buy it but that is the way of country people and it's called "putting up." We say, "I just put up my peaches for the year" or "I just put up half a beef," etc. People need to get back to that so they don't panic buy and empty the shelves every time there's a supply chain issue, whatever the cause. Let us here in America not only defend ourselves with guns but also with food so we can outlast the bullshit.
