Does it make sense to day trade even while being in a swing trade?

These past few days have been extremely volatile to day trade.

Sure, you can do that.

You can portion it like a 3 positions.

So if using 3 contracts, you day trade 1, then sell off another one when it goes even higher, but keep the third for longer term. Same for stocks. buy 100, sell a third, then another third. That allows people not to panick buy or sell, and then run out of capital.

The more you "Take the Money" the more money you will have. You can't go broke making a profit.

I sold mine 2 X over today washing and rinsing to build a core like you say regarding reserves. I gonna wait and see if we can drift higher again on false hope into 408-410 then load up again on $SPY puts. Much easier that scalping 0DTE IMO. We also have a big inflection acccording to GANN 3rd-7th. Big dispersion between financials and tech. We could get a bullish bounce short term

Fed reserve is going to lower rates to increase morgan's asset purchases and float the boat. I suspect 2-3 weeks.

The SPY had already hit the bottom of the donchian channel, and a sharp decrease at that. That means the 410 puts were already 2-400 per contract in the profit at 405. Now the chance is more likely that people were panicking and it will then go back up to 410 or 413 then drop to 409, since SPY has low volatility to begin with.

For spy to go lower than 405, the fear factor would have to immense. Morgan would have to go bust or be in danger of doing so. Wait until around June or after for that.

So he takes the profit from the in the money puts. And with the out of the money puts, it may take more time to get there, but if it does not, what he loses on theta decay of the puts is far less when it is away from the strike price (current market price).
