Hey Greg. Check Elliot Waves. In an uptrend its ALWAYS Wave 1up 2down 3up 4down 5up _ finish. In a downtrend its ALWAYS wave 1down 2up 3down 4up 5down_finish. Im a waver and i can tell you it is really difficult. But the main rules are like a law of nature. Am not smarter than others only sharing my experience so that we can learn from each other.
