I also think the collapse of SVB was designed to destroy startup businesses. They will go bankrupt before the FDIC settles any claims which can take years. They also screwed up by going balls deep in US treasuries buying 4 year bonds paying 1.69% and now that same treasury is paying almost 4% losing them 1.8 billion on the trade.
You know this bank had a lot to do with stable coin. I hear about 2B dollars. What if the government is willing to back the loses of the large corps with their own stable coin? Something like USSC or USAT? That would be the bigging of the introduction to the government crypto market. The people would be greatly thankful to get their money back that goes above the FDIC protection.
I am sure you have thought about this but I wanted to give you something to think about if you have not.
I agree with you 100% on the bank closures and yes there will be more. FDIC. will never have enough money to cover everyone. Our dollars will be worth Pennies Even though the prices are high wouldn’t it be wise to invest in real estate. At least you would have something physical like silver or gold.
There will be no catagion. As a matter of fact, many of the VCs & startups affected by the collapse of SVB are now moving their accounts to First Repulblic. This video explains it all -
