Long time veggie grower here. Mainly for the enjoyment. But these last couple of years have had me honing in on the skills and also starting to think about storing some long life stuff. The family can't survive on silver alone.

Living in FL. I have been feeding lots! with my garden, Raccoons, armadillos, lizards, birds, white fly, and some time we get to eat the product of our labors. Farming is not easy. Listen and learn.

Find out what plants these critters doesn't like and plant those around your garden. Or plant these plants as a border of your garden. This might not work as I bet you have a lot of annoying critters. Just posting an idea I did for the annoying rabbits in my area.

Older couple that enjoys listening to you. We grow our own Microgreens and have a garden for over 21 years in FL. I have enjoyed Hydroponics and Aeroponics in my Senior years. I learned about gardens from my Grandparents and grew up picking the fruits and vegetables.

I never forgot over 65 years ago around the farm house at the dinner table. I was roughly 8 years old. How they mentioned about going to the grocery store in Austria with a wheel barrow of money. How that stuck in my brain. My Great Grandmother was upstairs she was 102.

Just FYI, an outfit named GARDYN will send you an automatic, fully functioning hybri-ponic setup to grow your own greens indoors, with no dirt or bugs.. We have been using it for over a year and it WORKS ... we harvest greens grown indoors almost every day. This is especially good for those who have no space available to grow food outdoors. As members of the plan you periodically get new plant pods to replenish "matured" ones as needed.

I've been growing my own food for the past few years and I just love the fact that I can do it. I also have chickens, not only for food but I have them as pets.I haven't bought an egg for years. Easy to take care of and the best eggs 🥚I have ever eaten. Anything to help me out with growing will be greatly appreciated.

I am a prepper ! My advise for everybody is: start now, and start small, then expand.

Grow potatos in a bucket : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICHFDQGKG2k

Start getting dry food, that lasts.

Start getting one solar panel and one 12 v lead/acid battery, some diode lights.

Think about using solar energy to heat water - your hot water tank.

Get some bubble wrap, to isolate your windows in the vinter.

Look at videos at f.ex. youtube, for fixing / reparing stuff you have.

Go to a waste dump, and take a look -So much nice stuff there, that somebody just got rid of, fully in order.

Go to second hand shops, a lot of nice stuff there too.

Get rid of small bills, and do not sign on for new ones.

Get a maximum sum of money, that you can use for one month, and stick to it. Feel poor, it helps.

All things you buy, look at the price in weight / volum, how many kilos / grams/ liter / pr. dollar.

Regards,

Roy

I'm always long on my long-term positions I won't be selling them until I'm in at least some profits and only if I make enough profits otherwise I'll wait for the next major Bull run still in accumulation myself just can't help it with such cheap prices have you seen what Amazon stock looks like LOL talk about cratered if we do get further downside I hope Amazon can realistically get below $50 probably not but you never know

I have solar panels I have a full indoor grow setup flowering lights and regular growing lights all LED low electricity consumption long life low heat output. Oh also I'm kind of a botanist at least I know enough. Working on getting totally energy independent though as well as having an expanded growing setup I grow year-round when I do grow not currently at the moment because I got a bad case of fungus gnats need a new place couldn't get rid of them. Also though I got 6 months of food on hand mostly canned goods and beans can really live off of that stuff.
