I just bought a 16 April 21 390 Call. Now I have 4 different calls....three Dec 2020 expiry's and one April 2021 expiry. Theta won't bother me so much on the April 2021 Call. Implied volatility was only like 25% so it was good to get in now before volatility kicks in close to the election and Calls get more expensive due to higher I.V. (possibly).

I see you're getting expiry's in 2021. lol. I was looking at 2021, 22 and 23 expiry's because I'm holding three different DEC 2020 calls and Theta is eating me up alive. I gotta go learn about buying and selling vertical spreads. I read your info on selling vert spreads, but I need to get more knowledge on the subject. I went to sell a vert spread last Friday, but it said I'd get a 0.05 cent credit, but I could lose $4,488 dollars max. Oh no. I'm missing something here so I didn't sell it. Why was my downside so much? Do you have a video I can watch to educate me on selling vert spreads? I want to sell them so someone ELSE can be getting eaten up alive by Theta risk, not me. When the market is ranging I'm losing money every day on my three options. I'm going to flip the script on these jokers and start selling vert spreads and let THEM sweat Theta every day. Hahahahahahahaaa!

i also saw that I barely even made lunch money by selling them. i thought I was also missing something...

I hear you. Are you selling close to ITM or waylow delta. I was trying to sell some cheap, low delta verts because I have no clue what I'm doing yet.

Greg what were you thinking here?! This one is fucked

Thinking of selling for a loss. Greg is right 99% of the time, so it's all good :). I don't see any good news for hte market in the next few days - the virus spike, no stimulus, it's bearish for now...

46% loss even after averaging down is pretty hard to swallow. But... might have to
