That will be a great day..once the FRN is repudiated formally, I suspect we immediately see interest rates jump to 30-40% within a few days. Imagine a Treasury paying 40% interest! Hyperinflation commences

Treasury could revalue gold to $40k and knock about 50% of debt out.

You don't get it obviously. It came in lower and that's what street wants. Wall Street wants you to lose your job.

The yield curve inversion grows.. I believe we now have the longest running inversion in American market history. No need for a 10 year Treasury at this point.. the end of the "American experiment" will be long before that

Its a trap. A transfer of wealth. The get everyone comfortable with a rising stock market and then they pull it away.

Because of the job report coming in less than expected. That coupled with what Treasury did this week is causing this temporary euphoria. Won't last. Anyone here who paricipates in the stonk market is a traitor. Wall Street is so evil it wants it's Fed easy money.

Responding to your reply (to my comment "I will sell shares..."), "The Fed isn't doing it, and you are part of the problem." Does it really matter who is corruptly pumping & dumping in a corrupt system? Since when is a hardworking & taxpaying MC like me who learned about a corrupt system and learned how to diversify to mitigate losing from a system designed to defeat or eliminate me become a problem? By the way, Aren't taxpayers paying for Fed's easy money? So, is it ok for wall street to get the whole "pie" but not ok for a MC taxpayer to have a slice?

Smoke and Mirrors's avatar

Is not right for either. We need to bring wall street down period. Participating in it is only keeping it alive.

Maria Gomez's avatar

Bring down? Crash or eliminate the stock market? Crashes happened before and will happen again----- devastating to the majority of main street (enriched most wall street) & temporary so far. Eliminate by not participating? Will 401ks, IRAs, Insurances, Pension funds, etc. stop participating?

Smoke and Mirrors's avatar

It is so broken anymore, we have no other choice. People should have seen through the 401K scam. It was a gift to wall street. Insurance premiums are going through the roof anyhow. Keeping interest rates low is screwing main street. The money in your 401k isn't real unless you cash in. You will always be a hamster on a wheel, never getting ahead unless things change.
