XOM, CVX, etc.. are old stodgy slow growth oil plays. You'll do much better in sm/med E&P oil companies that concentrate in Permian basin and on mostly public not private lands due Biden's no new lease ban on public lands. Last 4-5 months I've been in CPE, CDEV, MTDR, REI, FANG and even offshore TALO with great gains so far and much more to go with the oil squeeze rotation that will continue into 2022 and beyond.
