Gammon has been riding on "Others are suffering" bandwagon for years and has been wrong. Fact is that people are loaded with cash. I see no sign of stress anywhere. Yeah there are a few homeless but they will exist in any capitalist society.
Fact is - USA is still the land of opportunity, very prosperous , people get paid a fortune for doing nothing, we import even tomatoes and vegetables from Europe, women in USA consider "BIG" as the ultimate qualification for dating men while in other countries they look for education, career , character because USA is rich and security for women is a given. They don't need men for that. Houses are cheap compare to Europe or even third world countries, taxes are low comparatively.
USD is quite strong. Inflation was supposed to happen anyway when we import even tomatoes from Netherlands but the prices are still lower than if we grow it ourselves. USD will remain the world's reserve currency so enjoy for another decade or may be more.
