said that the Japan situation was due to CARRY TRADEs, (where hedge funds and larger institutions, were borrowing YEN (at zero interest rates) , then converting the Yen into USD and buying high flying stocks, etc. this gives them and EDGE due to the difference in interest rates between USD and Yen.
when the Japan CB raised the interest rate, this caused those fund managers to FREAK OUT.
