The Allman Bros was the first concert I attended.(late 1960s) The lead-in-band was unknown but got the show off to a night of great music. Oh, the unknown band happened to be the Charlie Daniels Band!
What a concert! The CDB was breath taking and then followed by the Allman Bros. An evening with nothing but excellent music.
In reality, it kind of ruined concerts for me after that, it was that good.
For any wishing to sample Charlie Daniels Band at its finest, find an old album "Where we all belong" and listen to "24 hours at a time".
Sounds like some good times... FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN RUN BOY RUN! Oh yeah. I saw the Allman Bros at the Oregon State Fair in 80s with Tower of Power... one of Greg Allman's last shows. Good times!
