And worst of all the rest of the dumb losers repeating all this nonsense constantly.
Just try to stay above the fray and do what makes you happy. We can continue to try and get the ones that are coming around to the reality of their existence to do more research..see through the lies. Be prepared just in case things go south. My husband only gets a fraction of what I’ve known especially since 9/11. He is content to watch golf and football after work. Lol. But about to retire so he’ll need to decide since I think it’s time to be mobile and live closer to nature. I hear you though because many of my a acquaintances are totally in the mainstream especially since I’m living in So. California where Hollyweird is not far. Ughh good thing I’m moving next year.
Oh, I do hear you, too! We always try to do what makes us happy, in fact, we more than just try. In 2002 we old our house in the UK, paid off the credit cards (we were lucky!!!) and moved to Spain. We are happy here, especially since we now moved into a renovated cave home. I have a lovely rose garden and for 3 years I studied everything I could find about economy and finances. Anybody listening to me? - No. Fine. Last year I took up jewelry making and this year Chinese embroidering with silk threads. Oh boy! But I shall learn it and be good at it. Yes, you are right, do what makes you happy. We both do, but there is still a world out there and some things have to be dealt with. We have new neighbors. A nice family from the Ukraine, refugees. We cannot talk, but with Google I can print out phrases and somehow we get on. Lovely to hear that you will also move next year. They say the grass is not greener on the other side, but I can attest to it, that it is! I wish we could make friends and email each other! My email is my full name in small letters at gmail.
Hi Antje thanks so much for your reply. I would definitely like to keep in touch since our first move from USA/CA will be to UK/England near London where my son now lives and works. But the plan is to explore both Portugal and Spain for retirement in 2/3 years and buy a very small farm for growing food and some animals. My husband and son are Irish /EU citizens so we hope will be able to buy land with a bit less hassle. It would be great to hear your views on your years living is Spain and any advice you have.
