Your credit rating will get jabbed but if you don't mind that just underpay your bill 3-4 months until they freeze the account then when they call tell them you will pay as much as you can and keep going... then at about a year they drop all penalties and interest and you pay it back zero interest over time... it's a good way to learn the consumer protection systems... don't mess with the big three, i mean don't skip a minor payment or calls, and they won't negotiate settlement more than 15-25% discount... but injoy 0 interest payoff. thanks greg. Would I still able to follow the steps you outlined to clear my personal credit card or unsecured debt.
We have been living debt free for several years now and can tell you it is a goal everyone needs to work at. We also work at saving money by fixing what is broken or DIY projects and homemade. I just started a batch of vanilla extract from low grade vanilla beans and vodka.
In three months I will have about half a gallon at a fraction of the cost of those tiny bottles combined. That only scratches the surface of what is possible.

Don't buy items you don't need.
Pay charge cards off every month or don't charge.
Pay yourself save some money some fiat currency and( silver or gold )if you can afford to.
Don't live beyond your means.
Track your spending .
Pay extra on your mortgage (principal)to get your house paid off.
