I've worked in manufacturing my entire career. We have many world class manufacturers in the US making cars, chemicals, motor drives, tires, etc. they employ US citizens and provide them with invaluable skills While working for a large US chemical company we purchased and built plants all over the world. I don't see this type of foreign investment in the US as a bad thing.

This is a bit of an odd question... not all foreign investment is the same. Every country has foreign investment but how/where/why matter.

If that company is being promoted on the WEF website it means they probably have a high ESG score. They're probably involved in building smart cities and a control grid for the human livestock.

Most data center in US are managed by folks from India and China, shortly will be managed by AI. Sure, let them come, commodity business. We need to BUILD real durable goods here, welcome back smoke stack companies! Bring back the steal mills and manufacturing, and all the other jobs exported. Yeah I know robots do many of these jobs but still a big employer of human capital.

There would be additional capital for investment which should boost the industry overall.

I would be more concerned if foreign entities or people with anti American agendas like Bill Gates were actually buying our real estate to harm this country. I would also fear China continuing to buy/own American land or businesses. I can't readily see any danger in in money investing an American owned entity.

This particular deal with this Dubai owned company IS NOT an American owned entity.

The question wasn't if there was too much foreign investment, the question was whether this particular investment was a good or bad idea.

The question was will it hurt American investment in America.

I see it as foreign states failing faster than the U.S. What would you do if you were them?

It can be good if we do it in a smart way.

Like a Kosher suppository. Americans just haven't figured-out how to do Socialism right yet - videogame brains with joystick souls and Highschool ideas. Ain't it strange the only time most people think of injustice is when it happens to them.

There is no proper way to do socialism, socialism is a failure.

I am more of the opinion of if the company doing the investment in the US requires 50% local content when doing business in their country, we should require the same.

If they require partnership like China so they can steal intellectually property, we should do the same or only export to that country.

We need to flatten the playing field so we are not constantly be at a disadvantage.

I am with you - we shouldn't allow Commies to conduct any business or own anything in America. Socialism has proven over and over that (as Thatcher said) the country eventually runs out of other people's money. We haven't learned any lessons off-shoring our tech industry - textiles - manufacturing and steel to China... we were hijacked long ago and now we will experience the downfall from doing so for the next Fifty-years. Boomers will die off and leave their Chidren and Grandchildren with their shitty gluttonous mess.
