I was about to buy another one and a XLK call, but I think I'm going to give it a rest until the 28th or 29th of this June. I gotta see how these next 7 days play out. I'm not exactly trusting this price action right now.
Hi, figuring on "skipping the middle man" regarding Greg's predictions of a dramatic rise in the price of crude, I put a substantial part of my very modest options portfolio into the ETF USO calls a few weeks ago, and as you might image, it is doing very well. It has been doing a nice job reflecting the "actual" price of WTI.
It sounds like you are buying and holding USO. Don't use USO as a long term asset. Some products such as USO are designed to be a continuously decaying asset. Check out USO long term chart and you will see what I'm talking about.
Well, I bought my first lot of USO on June 2 and I am up 61%. Certainly beats the return on a 3 year CD :-) However I agree with your statement that they make a poor long term asset but I wouldn't consider 20 days long term. I will be pulling my profits soon.
