Trump mentioned possibility of moving 30K+ troops out of Germany, but never said where they will go. Options are Ukraine, Romania, Italy, USA, Pacific areas. Most of the Army assets in Germany are mechanized with some Special Ops mixed in. So, where does it make sense for those units to go. The special ops guys can go anywhere, but the mechanized units would typically go to flat terrain areas that can be maneuvered in by mechanized units. This eliminates Pacific and Italy (173rd Airborne Brigade is already there). This leaves Romania which has a mix of terrain type, Ukraine, and USA. Romania is having internal political problems as EU is trying to keep populist politicians out of power…one guy was arrested for no reason last week….Hungary could be in play as Victor Orban hates EU. Ukraine is at war and Trump seems more likely to cut a deal via economic moves instead of military moves…politically it’s a bad move and Trump knows it, so I doubt Ukraine is destination…same reason Poland is not likely destination…we already have assets there and adding more would not help with a deal. I have to consider the fact that China is a bigger threat than Russia, so this leads me to believe troops will be moving to certain areas within the USA and Pacific rim. In the USA, we have an unhinged minority close to rebellion in some blue states and cities as well as cartels on the southern border and a wide open border with Canada. Keep in mind Trump’s comments about Greenland and the fact certain parts of Canada are considering joining USA over Ottawa and Justin “Castro” Trudeau objection. Must also consider what areas already have facilities that can house and support these troops and equipment. Economically it makes sense bring troops back to USA…they will spend paycheck here opposed to foreign land…this is big factor for Trump. I think things point to USA and Pacific.

China is not a threat at all. It just does business very well. We moved our factories to China. Clinton let China into the WTO and granted it MFN status. China has not attacked anyone. Everyone in Asia is on good terms with China, as China is their best customer and key supplier. No one in Asia feels any military threat from China. The USA is separated from China by the Pacific Ocean. The US wants to keep feeding their military-industrial-congressional complex forever. They need to make sure there are boogieman "enemies."

What? Stealing our tech., enforcing Chinese rules on citizens in our country? Setting up research labs without our knowledge and or consent? Floating spy balloons over our military bases. Sending their soldiers to take up position around our military bases. Bribing our soldiers to spy for them. Dumping their cheap and under cost products so as to drive our businesses out of business. Attacking neighbor's vessels with water cannons, taking over territory that belongs to other countries. Building military bases on artificial islands. Threatening Taiwan. Cutting communication cables between other countries. Have no clue what you've been drinking, might be time to change brands.

I will also add William does have a point about using a boogieman to justify feeding the military industrial complex, but the threat of China is real. It's one that is more of a subversive and economic strategy....and Bill Clinton sold out the USA and is a total traitor along with his wife.

BRAVO, BRAVO....you just described the next generation of warfare. Reducing a nation's economy to nothing and to the point it can't produce what is needed to defend material and equipment to put up a defense against another hostile nation is the ultimate strategic move in warfare...that's why we bombed the hell out of German factories, oil refineries, and rail yards during world war 2.

Sounds like a logistical move to be ready. These moves are not made unless a higher probability of something bigger popping off. When Russia lined up a 100,000 troops on the Ukraine border there were a lot of voices saying nothing would happen. You do not move troops around abrbitraly. That takes money and the most important thing to any of these leaders is money. These poor men, most of them young men are being used as pawns just as all young men have been used as pawns in the past. Sounds to me like the possibility of a larger scale war is on the table and being looked at. Whenever there is a global depression there is an world war. Our markets are more interconnected than ever. We are being thrust into a new system. The system we are currently in will have to collapse. The leaders of the world want us to in a position where we beg them to save us all. Most will give up their freedoms to feel safe or have the illusion of being safe. I say most because the world leaders view us as mouth breathers or cattle that can be prodded in any direction they see fit. Be your own Sheppard. No one is coming to save you. The good news is you get to save yourself. Look within. Be your own saviour. Be your own Lion. I love you all my Brothers and sisters.

They want war. More WAR means MORE REASON to INFLATE. WAR MAKES MONEY. WAR BURIES A LOT OF PROBLEMS. Also, do not overlook this is a battle for U.S. Dollar Supremacy. BRICS may not be a factor now, but it remains a credible threat to the U.S. Dollar.

Bill, I have lived in Thailand since 1985. I have not been back to the USA since 2016. I do not know if I will go again, and I have no desire to go. The US is 4% of the global population. No country today depends on the US for anything, and no one wants the US to dictate how they live. In Asia, there are not many Americans; not even tourists. Everywhere there are Koreans, Japanese, Chinese, Arabs, Indians, Singaporeans, etc. The US is just not important now.

Our troops need to come home from Europe 80 years after the end of WW2 and 34 years after the end of the Cold War in 1991. NATO should have been disbanded with the Warsaw Pact when the Berlin Wall came down and the two Germany's were reunited. Continuing to poke the Russian Bear has brought us to the brink of WW3.
