Thank you for all your help. I think you've given myself and other viewers a lifetime of financial knowledge. We wouldn't mind if you took a holiday - All the best
If I understand you correctly, it is recommended that each of us have a small percent of our portfolio in Bitcoin. I am 90 years old and do not want the hassle/stress of purchasing and storing Bitcoin, so what do you thnk of the Bitcoin ETFs? And...when the inevitable market crash occurs, will Bitcoin (and silver too) crash along with it in your opinion? Please answer in your blog.
Hey, Mr Wiener, my Dad is 86yrs and will only have a small portion of portfolio in IBIT (iShares bitcoin ETF). It is safer, cheaper and if it goes down you can put a little more in there. But it is just play money for him because at his decade, even if Bitcoin took off he doesn't know what he'd do with it all or how long he'd have to wait for that 'surge', etc. The iShares bitcoin is very well secured (as it can be) and professionally managed. Read about it and decide for yourself. Blessings for making it to Nine Decades! What a lot you've seen in life. Should also add, my Dad wouldn't know how to use a Wallet App and/or would be very uncomfortable with anything other than the ETF trades/holds, etc. that he does with some of his income through Etrade (now Morgan Stanley). Easier to be in control of the Etf version of bitcoin on computer if one needs to act fast?!
I like IBIT or more risk BITX, I think IBIT is lowest fee etf for bitcoin. We are going well over 100k imo. Greg used to talk about the Greyscale Butcoin fund before SEC got on him. I made money in that fund but higher expense. Good luck
