Absolutely! When T boy says drill baby drill, you know thats a wise move.

Question- should we short oil?

Gregory Mannarino's avatar

And unless T boy intends to offer energy at a discount, all the drilling on Earth wont stop the world from seeking out other sources/lower cost energy to buy.

Our oil stocks are meandering here at the bottom of the charts at various moving averages. There is an oil glut around the world and the Saudis are holding back production. If such drilling were to occur it would drag the price to the low 60s or as far as the 40s. Trump would only do this if the russians found him to be all hat and no horse and Trump comes to a truth that the usa is all hat and no horse militarily-the usa is attacking russia and they have totally lost the war in the ukraine.

You can drill all you want, we (The OIL PAtch) cannot find enough workers, who can pass a drug screen.....but no one will tell you this.

Yes. But Buffet is deceived and doing a lot of wishful thinking.

You are NOT serious, are you?

No, Sylvia’s right. In the past, each time he bought into stocks they ended up tanking. When he took a stake in GOLD (Barrick), price hasn’t recovered in the last 2-3 years since. OXY, same story, peaked to $75 and never recovered all these years. I’d take a cautionary approach.

He could just be bait for the masses because they we know we consume mainstream info. You can tell them by their fruit, and as I outlined above, it’s not a reliable indicator of stocks pumping or predicting anything.

If there’s a demand-destroying event, OIL will go south real fast.

The price of oil and energy is very much dependent on the economy. I notice Berkshire is plunging in terms of the new Bitcoin money.

As he eloquently explained, the titanic can't change its course in a short period of time. Buffy has to average in as the energy market declines; we don't.

I think the most probable course is that Israel will attempt another aerial attack against Iran before Jan 20 trying to take out all its air defenses and nuclear facilities. It will prove as unsuccessful (in reality) as the previous one, and with the loss of a lot of their F-35s which will be ordered to ignore that their “stealth design” has been defeated and Iranian radar has locked on to them. Iran will respond immediately with “conventional” hypersonic missiles and basically flatten Israel. The “Bidens” with then order a massive aerial attack against Iran. If it is nuclear, the Russians will respond in turn against the USA. Otherwise, it will not be successful. Iran will then promptly flatten every US military base and warship within 1800 miles of its borders. It will tell the gulf states immediately to cease shipping any crude or LNG or they will promptly totally annihilate their production facilities. What the gulf states will do depends on just how stupid their leadership is, but in any event, the price of crude will promptly double to triple. Buffet’s satanist cabal bros has informed him that they are now committed to this course of action which is responsible for him purchasing energy stocks.

He must of come across something that fits his investment criteria. Considering what is going on in the world politically it is hard to believe the chart as it looks ready to collapse;

https://stockcharts.com/freecharts/gallery.html?$WTIC

Note how the price of oil has bounced off of the $65-66 price complete with lower highs.

During my daily rounds I have heard the Saudis are reducing their production as I also heard the world is producing a one million barrel/day surplus. They will run out of storage soon at that rate. If you know anything about commodities you know "gluts" of anything are not good for price!

Just saying.
