Greg, I have cash and want to buy silver. Should I wait 7 days? Is silver going to drop?

Are you expecting gold and silver to rise after fed meeting next week and do you expect stocks to go higher or lower and do you expect 0.25 or 0.50% rate cut??

I have the same question. Hold on purchasing silver or market?

According to CME FedWatch tool 73% chance of a 25 point cut and a 27% chance of a 50 point cut. That's according to this weeks Trends Journal

If they go half point cut i reckon we see big sell off

The market has been divorced from reality (the real economy). At some point reality is going to set in and the market will wildly sell off. No one knows exactly when this will happen but it will happen. Prepare now.

I reckon the same. But I also read last night in the Trends Journal that it could cause an even stronger increase in price. Its very confusing to me

Oz HillBilly's avatar

I read it as an economy doing far worse than we think and we see a much bigger sell off, like we saw in 08 when they started to cut rates.

Robert R's avatar

Yes but in 2008 we actually had an economy and a stock market. In 2008 everything ended

It all comes back to debt no matter what year!! The debts can't be repaid and lower rates will just inflate things far more.

Should I still hold off from buying gold untill the 18th Greg?

Will the market drop more in 7 days after the announcement or see which way the market goes?

We'll have to see. We're in uncharted waters of emergency monetary policy

7 days until exactly WHAT?

Expand full comment
Robert R's avatar

We're uncharted waters. Only The Money Trusts know whats going to happen. Maybe nothing, stocks and commodities could just continue to go up. Will have to wait and see

Greg,

You go on and on with promoting your own version of fear, distraction, and blame.

Why not clearly explain what you think is going to happen in 7 days, what do you mean hold your fire, and why is the market falling WITH the MMRI?

Expand full comment
John's avatar

I really don't understand how the MMRI is supposed to work. It's going down, so shouldn't the market be going up? Or is there some sort of time lag we are supposed to wait on? I find that moving averages (50/200 EMA) and the MacD work pretty well and they are indicating sell.

Mitchel's avatar

WIth you on the MACD and MA's. The MMRI is useles for timing. It does make a general indicatuion but I have always done quite well without the distraction of Greg Mannerino.

Yes, good point. Make decisions to limit risk. Yep your right, lol I should have bought week.

Man you are right about that. I shouldn't be all concerned about small movements in price. Yes your so right about that one. Be more concerned about being a better man than how much gold I have. Good advice Oz... Thanks again my friend.

we wait until the announcement, and then we watch market retract more? And after both of those is when we consider pulling the trigger? Is that what Greg is doing?
