Hi Greg,

I hate putting money into companies that I see cause so much harm, like these, or pharma companies & big tech & big banks, or even companies that take advantage of the fake green movement.

Do you wrestle with this yourself at all, and how do you suggest I change my thinking?

I agree.. there is a moral issue here-

Expand full comment

From that point of view EVERY stock includes moral issues, just depending on ones standards. In general with moral issues we should buy not one stock. Prove needed? Someone name a "politica/social/etc. correct stock to me, I will sound the moral alarm for it. No prob at all.

You're right. Besides, all companies are interconnected in one way or the other. If "The Baby Blue" diaper company invests in companies that engage in bio-tech, the jab etc., then that innocent sounding Baby Blue Diaper company is part of "the system" also. "Companies" buy and sell goods/services to each other and invest in one another's stocks so....they are inter-related.

I find it helps to look at investing decisions (and almost anything in life) using at least two questions.

1) is this a subjective or objective decision?

For example, you can prove someone murdered someone. You can't prove that the murder was a hate crime. I know criminal justice professionals would say that it helps to show a motive, but a motive doesn't prove a crime.

With investing, very little is objective any more. You could argue fundamental stock values (EPS, Quick Ratio, etc.) are "relatively" objective, but stock prices are less tied to these as we go along. So if you are helping the "bad guys" at unethical companies, it's likely very little. Ultimately, you are creating a market for other traders.....and....

2) where would I draw the line?

Are you using U. S. currency? Do you have a loan? Do you use products that you don't know where the raw ingredients came from? To approach investing thinking you have some form of direct impact on a large business is rather naive. If you do think you have an effect, then couldn't invest to affect a company in a negative way? Summary: You're more effective in life focusing on areas where you can draw the line. A set stop-loss is an excellent example. Whether it's 0.60% on a day trade or 0.01% above/below the price modeled by the extension of the trending resistance/support line.

Disclaimer: I don't own any of RTX,HON,LMT,NOC, or GD

My investment thesis is invest in evil. A) Because they always win, and B) because if they lose, I still win

I certainly can't speak for Gregory but for myself, I hate the big banks, big tech, defense and pharma so why not squeeze some money out of their criminal arses?

Never change your thinking as it cause a man or women to be unstable. Do what you must do. Always be true to yourself.

I wrestle with myself when it comes to pharma company and never will invest into them. I have bought into the banks.

Take everything to God in pray. Honestly, that is what I do. Mind you, I'm not perfect. So take this with a grain of salt. Toss away what you need.

Great advice, thank you. However, never say “ never” :)

Would it make a difference if one trades or flips these companies but not invest in them? Someone has helped me think about this comparing to the metaphor of temporarily dating (trading) vs being married (investing). What would be the alternative easier money in order to pay bills and survive on a planet that has been turned upside down for enslavement purposes?

Not a single reporter is asking why did NATO not give assurance to Putin that it will not allow Ukraine into NATO. Why was it so important to have this war and have people killed just over NATO membership?

What is the purpose of NATO now ?

This is how the media works

<<<Not a single reporter is asking why NATO did not give assurance to Putin that we will not allow Ukraine membership to NATO>>>

They didn't ask because they already know the answer to that question. Yes, all they had to do to pacify Putin was to give him assurances Ukraine would not be allowed into NATO. Simple. But they refused. Why? Because they are ready TO GET THIS PARTY STARTED!

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeheheheheheheheheheheeeeeeeeee! 🤣 😃 🤣 😃 🤣

If your relatives are in the military...now would be a good time to tell them to get out! Mine are OUT so I'm good. 😃

NATO membership means West could put nuclear missiles 5 feet from Russian borders. It's like Canada joining Russia and asking Russia to put nukes in Toronto

I met a Ukrainian woman in Prague Czechia. During conversation she said, she never talks/like politics. I bet she is running distraught now and crying. This is the trend in teenagers. they say - "I stay away from politics". Politics is number one imo as It directly affects what happens to us

Western Europe is now 100% dependent on USA for their security and yet they make fun of Americans no matter which country you go to in Europe. Good luck to them

Yep, that's why I understand Putin's position. He doesn't want NATO countries surrounding him on every side.

Europeans are the Masters of double standard and stupidity: Xisaid he will support Putin now. Without China Europe ist done. Completely done. What will they do? Buying russian Gaz via China? Call for sanctions against China? What about Iran? Same story. Dealing with Iran is NO problenm at all. Iran said: Putin is right. Uuups, what to do now @ EU-Idiots?

<<<Europeans are the Masters of double standard and stupidity>>>

Russia has Europe by the Cojones. If the EU acts up then Russia will turn off the gas spigot next winter and Europeans really don't want that.

All that stuff you list at the bottom of your message is simply a natural "changing of the guard". No Empire(s) stay on top forever. The Big Dogs eventually get too greedy and wicked and begin their decline and the Little Dogs eventually grow up into Big Dogs and take their place. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

Europe and America are going out and China and Russia are coming in.

When Trump said (to Europe especially Germany) you have to pay more into NATO-Budget they said: "HOW DARE YOU fuckin' Bastard?" NOW they are saying: "We have to pay more for NATO." Greg is absolutely correct: This is a gigantic worldwide Weapondeal. And its desperatly needed because somewhere in the system there has to be much much much more new debt to keep the system running. So this worldwide armdeal is a smart solution. Problem solved for 2022. Some new ideas for 2023 are welcome.

Logical Thinking:

Putin, Xi, Biden and EU made a deal BEFORE the conflict. All benefits in one way or another. People suffering, who cares? Result: Prices up. Inflation running. Maybe a real war, why not? People will love the new Digital Currency as they love their Masks. They will love the new One world Government as they love their Jabs. Sign of a pro-Ukraine-Protester in Berlin: "Better freezing than buying russian Gaz" Any more questions?

So lets ask ourself:

Who financed Karl Marx? Who financed Sowjet Revolution? Who financed Adolf Hitler? Who financed the Allies in WW2?

War business, age old. yes i struggle with concience. Do you make the money and use the funds for better uses, or do you starve them of your money with the hope others will do the same. fact is, most do not know what their fund manager has invested in and would keep quiet if they knew... whether we like it or not, guns are here to stay and infact maybe we are all safer if we all are armed. i cant say either way.

What are these arms companies gonna do ? Save the world or maybe lick ice cream ? 🤦‍♂️ Pathetic. Ukraine had a nazi regime, which supported Azov battalion, the cruelest neo nazi people that caused a genocide against Russian speaking minority in Donbass. Where are all of the reports on that ? Zelensky is just another puppet of CIA and that's all. They need him for money laundering on wepons. NATO was dead, now they got what they wanted. And people will pay. Instead putting money into MRI devices, ultrasound devices, schools, jobs, infrastructure... People will pay for military equipment. Sick and fucked game. Besides... There was no such fuss, when USA attacked Syria for no reason (actually there was - OIL), there was no fuss about lying about WMD in Iraq, yet they've fucked the whole country, no fuss around Libya fiasco, no fuss about Vietnam, which was clearly a crime against humanity, and many many more.

I have owned GD, HII, LMT and RTX for a few years. War in this world never stops. The dividends on these stocks is enough to carry you through those times when the shares are stagnant. My look on defense stocks - I am in the market to make money which will secure my future and the future of my family. I didn't build or create these companies. In addition, they are also into technology advancement and the space industry.

I have never seen the market as a moral ground. Tobacco stocks, gambling stocks, Big Pharma, and hundreds of other areas all promote something that doesn't sit well with a few others. I could make a strong argument that the current ESG rating on stocks is causing issues with many worthwhile companies and scares away many investors.

My other option is to stuff money under the mattress. What sense does that make? If I want to see my hard-earned money grow, there is nowhere else to put it today. I refuse to place it in the bank. Hope this helps someone. Buy these stocks now. LMT is already at its 52 week high. All will be following.
