Late yesterday afternoon, the weather was PERFECT..... very dry. Little wind. I'm sure that helps tremendously, plus the fact that Greg knows what he is doing in that car. Gonna be a very beautiful weekend in Florida this weekend......
The one issue with the weather was the Density Altitude, it was high, at 2,100ft, that is not good. With a lower DA, I would have gotten this car in the 8-teens! Last year at Bradenton we had a few days with a negative DA, which is VERY good for making power.
Cars keep me grounded as well. I’m a 59 year old who grew up in the 70’s on the west coast loving Corvette’s. But I appreciate all well built cars. There are so many sweet makes & models. I like American muscle mostly because I love America. They are more attainable, and affordable to work on than the European exotics.
The world is a better place behind the wheel of my 2014 C7 Z51. All 8 cylinders signing together at 6,000 RPM in 5th gear. Life is good!
Great Job! If you don't race then you will never know the feeling of what Greg has achieved. That rush is even greater when you do your own wrenching! Some day when our positions are high enough I will have someone else work on my race car. I know I lift a little sooner, brake a little lighter, and rev a little less knowing I will have to fix it!
Whoo-hoo
Nice run! So whats your secret in tuning?
I assume weather plays a role as well?
Weather, absolutely! Its not just the engine though, its getting the suspension right. Takes a lot of work.

So cool! What a great way to relieve the stress from our failing economy, (seriously). We all need good hobbies like this to keep us from going crazy!
