In fairness, is price discovery even possible when more than 1/3 of the volume of trades/transactions happen in dark pools?

... we know price discovery - ever poop your pants?... same characteristic markers/sounds/smells as dumping treasuries and liquidating derivatives.

Americans will soon find out the hard way the downside of decades of outsourcing manufacturing and living off trade deficits and the dollar's reserve status. The coming day of reckoning is long overdue. I hope that when the financial crisis hits, we finally do the right thing.

Trump hasn't prepared Americans for just how bad things are going to get, or the level of austerity that would be required to repair the damage done by decades of bad fiscal and monetary policy. The coming shot of fiscal and monetary "stimulus" will be the overdose that kills us.

If Bitcoin's success is predicated on the dollar's failure, if the U.S. is foolish enough to actually create a Bitcoin strategic reserve, this development will accelerate the dollar's demise, potentially benefiting Bitcoin in the short run. But the ultimate winner will be gold.

Gerald Celente!

The facts are plain and simple, should the U.S. equity markets crash, and we are forecasting Dot-com Bust 2.0, so too will the economy.

The idea that foreigners are going to pay our tariffs is absurd. They will not pay us to take their stuff. Tariffs will be paid by American consumers. Either they will pay higher prices, or they will go without the goods. Our trading partners will consume their own production.

This is a normal bounce area. Some where around the 252 day sma we generally see some type of defense certainly in the index futures. I generally look at that, as well as 189, 126 63. Quarterly, half year, three quarters, one year. Obviously looking for cross overs to help the cause.

I heard him. "Revaluation of Gold (~$5,000)will cut the Dollar by half in purchasing power." Thirty-years of installing communism won't unwind the uglies overnight.

How many silver dimes fit into a 30 cal can?

Expand full comment
Jay Blue's avatar

If you mean a 7.62mm NATO ammo can, according to Google's AI, it's about 1080.

Expand full comment
bren's avatar

that's way low. if a roll of dimes fits in there sideways, you could fit at least a hundred rolls in there if not more

Expand full comment
Jay Blue's avatar

That's what I was thinking. I would expect somewhere around 8-12 thousand dimes to fit in one of those cans.

Typically what Elon is finding is the thousands of NGOs that get huge government awards each year spend very little. They take most of it and invested it in the stock market with margin, and now that the jig might be up, they have to get rid of all this stock. Is this crazy to think?🤔

This feels a lot like the 20% stonk drawdown that we experienced from 1/2/2022 through 10/2/2022. If you recall, stonks would consistently take one step forward and two steps back.
