*2) 2014/2015: Topped 12/26/2014 at 18,103 and fell 1,066 (5.9%) to 17,037 on 2/2/2015.
*3) 2015/2016: Topped 12/2/2015 at 17,901 and fell 2,451 (13.7%) to 15,450 on 1/20/2016.
*4) 2016/2017: No Decline started in the December / January period.
*5) 2017/2018 Topped 1/26/2018 at 26,616 and fell 3,302 (12.4%) to 23,314 on 4/5/2018.
*6) 2018/2019 Topped 12/3/2018 at 25,980 and fell 4,260 (16.4%) to 21,712 December 26th.
*7) 2019/2020 Topped 1/17/2020 at 26,378 and fell 11,159 (42.3%) to 18,213 March 23, 2020.

Absolutely agree with commercial real estate tanking the banks. I dare say that when this happens it could very well be one of the pillars that yank the debt market. Obviously I could be wrong, but a thought nonetheless.
I own a small land surveying company in South Florida. I am not seeing any problems in Commercial RE. I have seen house sales slump greatly, and new construction has slowed locally. I see in the news new home starts surged in November, I didn't get the memo on that one. I have been really busy with Commercial property sales. I have been performing about 1 ATLA Commercial RE survey for a closing every 2 weeks. For a small company like me, that is a lot of commercial sales. I have participated in about 25 commercial closings this past year.
Are we saying all this is going to come crashing down?
Most every building I look at is full of tenants, even brand new buildings popping up are filling up immediately.
Maybe its a Florida thing, maybe we are just not slumping like many places are.
I just do not see problems here, we rarely go out to eat anymore, when we do we are amazed how packed all the restaurants are here. We took my SIL and BIL out to dinner for their wedding anny this past weekend, we had essentially a tropical storm hitting here at the time we were heading to a pretty expensive restaurant, like $60 a seat plus drinks. The place was packed, in the middle of a storm!! We were glad we made a reservation ahead of time. These people were as crazy as us!!
I have been getting ready for a big crash for 6+ years now, I am fatigued from all the stress I carry wondering what the event will be that sets off the domino's. I am pretty much at the F-it point, what happens happens. I am trying to get out of my house and on to 10+ acres. Once I am there, and set up, I will finally breath a sigh of relief, then I will not care about this economic system as I plan on being self sufficient. For now? I keep my pantry, deep freezer and food stores packed up. I keep staking gold silver and lead. I try to enjoy my life as best I can wondering when this is all going to fall apart and praying I can get where I want to be in time before it does.
