I work in trading in Taiwan, really enjoy Greg's podcast but currently technical grade sodium nitrite pricing from BASF dropped to USD1350/ton, compared to USD1400/ton a week ago.
Technical grade raw material from China prices have dropped significantly, while pricing is varied in diff places of the world, just a reference here.
However, I believe commodities relate to food, fertilizer remain strong.
New debt ceiling proposal includes freezing of spending for 2 years, according to the White House…a reduction of $1 Trillion. But let’s see how much the FED can take it. My guess is bond yields and DXY are rising for this agreement to be passed or not passed (both negative for the market), and the second thing brewing is expansion of this war. No matter how this plays out, I think the market is ready to crash, but the FED is ready to buy it all again, just like 2020.
