Maybe it's only me, but a lot of the stocks that I follow and trade are down big. Examples:

EV Sector is down about 40% in average (NIO, TSLA, AYRO, FSR)

Semiconductor is down about 20% (QCOM, AMD)

Marijuana Sector is down in average 50% (TLRY, APHA, CRON, CGC)

Some Chinese Tech stocks are down in average 30% (BIDU, BABA, TCEHY)

DISCA is down 60%

And I'm talking about this year highs.

I thought this was the pullback or in what sectors indexes would this pullback would be wanted/expected?

Also, Bitcoin. although I bought on that dip. I hope its just consolidating over the last week but who knows. The only thing up is commodities and GameStop. Lily thanks for this post. I didn't realize how much so much of the market is so far down.

He is referring to the broader indices. The sp 500 and nasdaq 100 are near all time highs again. It would be healthy if the broader market were to correct. However, that would likely mean further declines in the more speculative names. I'm curious do you trade those names or are you a long term investor?

I'm a swing trader, I don't hold all of these names but have bought and sold in the past, right now I have TSLA, NIO, BIDU, QCOM and DISCA. I did not buy them on the highest but on some interesting pullbacks (Or so I thought 😂🤣)Like DISCA, it comes from 78, I bought at 36 and now it's at 32.6. But I believe you're right, a broader pullback might mean more pressure on these. I knew TSLA and NIO were dangerous, I'm thinking on letting those go with a loss.

Sorry to hear that you are considering selling at a loss. I'm not much of a market timer. I mostly play theta. This probably doesn't apply to you being a swing trader, but I'm hearing more and more newer traders trying to dollar cost average into losing speculative positions. I lost a ton of money a couple decades ago by trying to rationalize a few losing trades by trying to lower my cost basis.

Thanks for sharing the info. I had no idea marijuana is down 50%

Wow. Next time you buy something, please post so that we can short it. This is not a joke.

Thanks Greg. Good to know to watch for a pullback. My luck is no pullback until after my monthly 401K contribution so I have to buy at high prices. Then of course it will happen after that deposit clears :). Just how my luck goes usually.
