I was hoping for a green light from GM, but the possibility of a crash in March means that more caution is warranted. The market has done fine without a rate hike for several years and now suddenly it's something terrible if it doesn't get one. Rate hikes used to be bearish because they caused consumers and businesses to cut back on spending, which caused earnings to fall and also stock prices. Things have been turned upside down.
