Afghanistan "story"? Why is bumfuck Afghanistan a story? Do YOU really care about what happens in Afghanistan? Do I care what happens there? Nope. If Afghanistan disappeared off of Planet Earth today it matters not to me. Why not? Because nothing that happens there affects me. If that country disappeared the only tears people would cry are for the Opium Poppies in abundance they wouldn't have acces to anymore and an abundance of rare earth minerals they couldn't capitalize on anyway because no country can control ALL of Afghanistan. Controlling Kabul is meaningless when the Taliban control the areas the rare earth minerals are located in. Mining operations would be under constant Taliban attack.
