Do you guys buy both the stock and a call option or just a stock when buying a trade alert?

I havent figure it out if the right way to play it is to do both or just one of them.

Thank and have a great day everyone

Do you guys put in your buy orders before the market opens? It seem that as soon as the market opens I'm not able to get in at a good buy price because the market goes up so quickly.

The market opens at the futures price. Either up or down. Doesn't open at the price it closed at the day before.

Strategy of when to take profits?

If you or someone answers there for newbies like me.

I’ve been buying the long calls for the last 3 weeks. Am in about 10 of your suggestions. See the profits go up and down. End of last week down 4k. Today up 4.5k Is now a good time to close out of the positions and then re-purchase in a few days when things drop again, as has been happening? And do this on a weekly basis?

How to play a position. If you put on a big gain early on you can choose to close half the position pull a profit and ride the other half. You could also choose to close the entire position and lock in a full profit. You can also choose to hold onto it...It’s all about risk tolerance. Moreover, I would suggest buying options which do not expire for several months with just OTM strike prices. The farther out you buy, the less risk. -CONSIDER BUYING OPTIONS WHICH EXPIRE 8 MONTHS OUT OR LONGER TO MINIMIZE RISK AND REMEMBER! IT IS NEVER WRONG TO PULL A PROFIT… Your job as a trader is ONE THING... TO PULL PROFITS… PERIOD.

Thanks Greg

Understood.

Of course we can't predict the future..but is it more advantageous to stay in the positions for the next few months or to sell now at these mini peaks and buying in the next few days again at a low, and selling again next week at a peak?
