I'm up $100 on WMT, watching for the MACD to cross and prolly bail on it. Before Crazy Nancy pulls the rug on this market

Why is not Greg commenting on this latest rally. Maybe busy having an orgasim

it never hurts to take a profit

The market is still going up. 10yr is positive, Oil is up, Dollar is down... Pull profits if you have them or keep rolling the bones. A single tweet can pull the rug on all this.

is anyone actually adding to msft or just taking a loss? it so tanked after we bought the calls. a media piece came out today saying tech stocks were overinflated...seems there is more to fall and then to maybe not recover?

Personally i sold MSFT position and re enter on a dip, so my loss around 50$ and i'm holding only one contract at 20.6

I have gotten hammered on the tech stocks MSFT, AAPL, and FB on my paper account. My timing is way off and/or I am holding too long. I need to figure this out

I lucked out on Microsoft. I bought 1 @ $22, 1 @ 21.50 and 1 @ 20.35 so I averaged $21.2898. I got out at $21.75 early this AM for 2.6%. I pulled the plug too early on SBUX, but still got a profit of 1.25%. It went higher later, but I wanted out today. I averaged down on it Friday and Monday to $7.944. Had it since Friday.

Nice Susan! Are you able to buy as soon as Greg sends alerts? That is one of my problems: getting in too late after the price has gone up. I would like to know your thoughts as I am learning from everyone here. Thanks!

I am still learning too so take this with a grain of salt. I don't trade every post. I don't feel comfortable watching more than 2 positions right now. I set up an audible email notification to get/hear the message sooner. There is about a 2 minute delay before email gets it and more by the time I look up the trade. If I feel like it already went up too much, I won't buy. I look at volume, current price, and high/low. I watched several trades before o traded one. I thought I missed out on MSFT initially on Monday, but it went down so I bought. However, it fell more and I averaged down through the day. I averaged SBUX on Friday and Monday. That was my first time to average down and I definitely bought more than I had initially planned.

On my first option trades a little over a week ago. I put in a buy order that I thought would never get filled and it did and the market fell more then, but it recovered the next day.

I want to learn more about charts and technical analysis.

Thanks so much Susan! Not to bother you, but what do you like to see when you are looking at volume, current price, and high/low? How do you determine if the volume is too high or too low and what it means? Or what price do you like to see when evaluating the current price vs. high and low? Do you then use a limit order based on the current ask price if you like the option? Good tip on the email sound alert. Thanks as usual

Yes, there usually isn't that much volume on the options prior to the alert. You can see volume increase after the alert. You can see it fade later in the day. Compare that volume and price change to the same option with a different expiration (Mar or April) and you will see the difference. On the days people were immediately pulling profits you could tell too. I haven't been watching few a few weeks. My first option trade was 10/13.

when you do, let me know! everything I do turns to loss.

I believe it is several things which caused me harm: buying too many contracts off the bat and not averaging down is the primarily the reason.

Hopefully you will get out from this positions safely and with profit xD ! Because most likely there will be no deal today.
