I don't have much faith in IBM's ability to execute. Much of their Dividend comes from financial engineering. Their Watson initiatives into vertical applications have not been successful. I know they are trying to be a major player in the Cloud and have bought Red Hat. I don't have a lot of faith there. I have worked for and against IBM. We were consultants to IBM, and I also served in a role with another company (strategic analyst serving the Office of the President) against IBM.

Hi Greg...as you have said, commodities have taken off...you may wish to look at the Australian commodities market which is taking off and if you agree, so advise your listeners...Henry
Regarding IBM Puts at 20 percent out of the money; with the stock at 127.36 that would be between 110 or 115 or so; while well OOM it gives you a .003 or .004 delta. Great for income but lousy for trading. I prefer a delta of 70 to 80 with a theta of 20cents plus. The only one that does that is the Apr 14 put (I admit it I like to trade options at expiration date by selling them and eating the theta). The only put that does this is the 127 (if assigned I'd sell deep in the money calls (delta 70 to 80) and try to trade my way out. (I like the downside protection of DITM Calls also). J
Greg, if we are not trading around the stocks, could we just purchase sector ETF's (defense, consumer, oil, commodities) to take advantage of the price increase. Make sense?
