I get Greg adding on dips without saying anything but closing SPY completely and not giving alert seems odd.
I can't recall if he told us to close. It's probably best to check back and see if you missed an update. As I understand it, in one of his previous videos he noted that if he says "consider pulling profits" that you should go ahead and close the position. This has changed from previous as he told his lions that he himself was closing a position. However, in addition he is also not telling us when to add to positions anymore.
I really don't know, now that you mention it. The stock went up 1% by my reckoning before it tanked I don't know what that would translate to in option parlance. My account isn't that large so I have to take large scalps to make it worthwhile.
I'm holding on to these still...I also bought a qqq PUT to hedge against any crazy attacks tomorrow during inaugaration day. Hey, last time we had capitol storming I made a huge killing in call options!

You are correct. Greg did not mention closing SPY, and he no longer tells us when adding to positions. I liked it better the old way
