Exactly. I worked at a skilled nursing facility in winter of 2014/15 and we had a flu outbreak. Some of our residents went to the hospital and never came back. No one was surprised by the fact that the flu caused death among the elderly as we knew that they had comorbidities, were on multiple medications and didn't have a good immune system to fight. On the other hand, none of the staff got sick, vaccinated and unvaccinated.
The response to the respiratory illness today is completely against everything I was ever taught and/or have experienced before 'rona, and I no longer work in healthcare because of it.
