My question is, is real estate a good buy right now? Many people are calling for a devastating drop to the real estate market. What do you all think?
Real Estate fluctuates. They don’t make it anymore, so if you can pay cash or get a short-term low interest mortgage you will be just fine. Buy the dip like Greg says. Foreclosure auctions are another possibility. Do you want to buy it and rent it out or turn it over? Don’t accumulate more debt than you can presently handle. Avoid areas with public housing or stack & pack units. Outer suburbia or gated communities hold their value!
I am buying. It all depends on the deal you are getting and the location. If you think commodities are going up then house is a great ETF I am sure there will be a crash some day but it won't matter after 2 3 years
