I feel sorry for future generations. I have had the pleasure of living in good times and being able to prepare. Hopefully, my preps will flow through to my children and grandchildren to help them have a quality of life when the implosion comes.

Being in my 20s at the start of my career and baby #1 on the way, I've been trying my best and we are better prepared than 90% of people, but at some point we have to give it up to God, we just didn't have enough time to fully get there. Good luck everyone.

Why does Bob "scare you". 99.999% of gun owners do not cause any trouble, or harm anyone. BUT, they DO own guns to protect themselves and those they love. We treat guns with great respect. EVERYONE has the divine RIGHT to protect themselves, including you Vic. One day people like Bob or myself, might be the one who saves your life from a BAD GUY !

It's not those with guns you should fear. It's those that try to stop legal gun ownership.

That’s where the word shot came from. Back in the day before communist un Constitutional gun control, you could walk into nearly any bar and if you didn’t have money you put a cartridge on the bar and you’d get an ounce per round….in theses times….make mine a double!

Beware of a government that attempts to disarm "we the people". Such government must disarm us because they know we are not going to like what they have planned for us (i.e. poverty and enslavement ). 2nd amendment provides us with the right and means to form a well armed militia to rebel against a tyrannical government, should it come to that.

No, Im not ready to be a slave and they will have to kill me before I kiss their boots. I don’t care about money or safety. I want total freedom. Id rather live in the woods with nothing than bow to another man.

Just bought a small cabin in the woods with a barn and a chicken coup. We will be moving off our sailboat which has been our home for a decade. It used to be the ultimate freedom. It no longer is. Being unjabbed all foreign countries are off limits. And the elite who live on the ocean coastlines have badgered local governments into massive restrictions on anchoring. They don’t want your gracefully aging 35 ft boat anchored in front of their 10 million dollar home. The fun to suck ratio has gone negative. So into the woods we will go.

Being a boater myself for 35 years, the forrest is actually quite a bit more relaxing and you won’t sink or drag anchor onto a reef. Lol.

My wife and I bought our first boat in 1983. She grew up on a boat. So it’s been a heart wrenching decision to swallow the hook for good. But we have made it now and are looking forward to a new adventure. We never dragged anchor in all our travels. Good luck, good crew, I guess. We did think we were going to sink a few times. Definitely not for the feint of heart. Thanks for your kind note.

Sorry to hear you are giving up sailing. We've always had a boondock house close enough to the water. Splashing my 28" boat soon after hauling it 1000 miles to our new home.

I'm going to be looking for a bigger boat this year or next. Have you sold yours yet?

Hi Jeff. We are still living on the boat. If all goes well we will have our house in the woods in maybe 6 weeks. We are likely to spend a few days a week working on the property and maybe weekends on the boat. Like the old days. We are not sure about the future. We hate to give it up totally. We started sailing together in 1980 and the boat was always the bug out place. But the boat is two hours from our property and when gas gets to 10 a gallon I’m not sure how much sense it makes to have the expense of owning it, and paying lots of money to get back and forth. I guess we will cross that bridge when we get there.

If I was the only decision maker the boat would still be on the East Coast. No better place to ride out the carnage than on a boat. But my saintly wife (she really is) decided she needed to be closer to her 95 year old parents. Mine were also alive then and in their mid 90s. And then we took a direct hit from Hurricane Florence on 12 September 2018. Lots of boats sank and marinas were destroyed. That was our 4th hurricane in a period of 8 years and after watching two of our best cruising friends lose their boats, I had no good argument to stay.

We are presently in Bay City, MI at a marina where we have owned a dock since 1990. We shipped our boat back to MI from Oriental, NC. Where are you?

1 Timothy 1:7 "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of POWER and of LOVE, and of a sound mind." Turn to Jesus, no metals or ammo will save you only the Gospel can save lives. The darker it gets the brighter we will shine. Study the book of Revelation, we can look forward to so much and our King in heaven is laughing at the agendas of the rulers of this world. WE are victorious in Christ Jesus. It's time we stop caring about the 10year yield for a minute and focus on our salvation.

What about the saying that God helps those who helps themselves? Why did he gave us a mind to think with?

If you had concrete information that someone was going to rob your house tonight would take action or just pray to god that it doesn't happen? Wouldn't not taking action when you have that information would be very unwise?

The challenge is understanding that information, then using your god given mind to figure out what actions are best to take.

If you beleive god is going come to your rescue and solve all your problems without you taking any action why are you on this blog? You shouldn't have any concerns. Just my two cents.

The way I look at it is that ' a meltdown in the debt market ' means that institutional buyers ( mostly from foreign countries) are not any longer willing to buy US treasury . That means that the yields will explode over a very short period and investors dump the TBonds due to lack of confidence. When this is done there will be a massive implosion in the debt market. At that point Money will not know where to go , the stockmarkets are down , Crypto's are down ( currently ETH - 70% and BTC nearly -67% from ATH) and the treasury has 10 Trillion downpayment on short terms TBonds that mature within 12-18 months..... So it looks like that we are in entering the perfect storm for a massive meltdown very soon, as if it has started already..... ( Didn't Jamie Dimon warn us last month for a Hurricane to come ....)..... The meltdown will be so massive that it will be impossible to repair/stimulate/ manipulate the current (USdollar-EURO) system as it will be deadlocked, the only solution will be Klaus' reset into a new totalitarian system.

I personally think that Gold and Silver and perhaps some crypto's will skyrocket in this transitive period of chaos. As some contributors in these comments write that metals will also drop is not logical imo , as people will need a method of payment next to barter in an imploded system. You can compare this with the events happening in the Weimar Republic .

Additionally I do think that investing in farmland (whether you will grow or not does not matter yet) is probably the most important, more important than metals ! During an implosion there will be massive shortages and nothing will function anylonger. The biggest casualties will be in urbanized area's as logistics of food, water and other necessities will come to a complete stop. You will only be able to survive in rural area's near farmers, or at your own homestead.

This is a more than realistic scenario.....

You asked...are we ready for a collapse of our financial system. I have known that it is coming and sometimes mention it to people. Most do not want to hear, which I understand because the world as they know it is disappearing and it horrifies them. It will happen, ready or not. It's coming.
