I don't know about that. Do you think they would still be operational if they were being hosted on a single server somewhere? They would have been raided and shut down a long time ago. Maybe the difference is that shutting down P2P is technically feasible but requires much more draconian measures. Either way a centralized system is not the way to go which was the problem with Parler and many other social media alternatives but less so with LBRY.

Not saying it's impossible but it's not that easy. Torrent and bitcoin haven't been shut down precisely because they are decentralized.
