How did we get so many obese people if life is so taxing?
Wife needed some cleaning supplies and light bulbs so we hit the local Walmart around 8:30 PM Thursday. It wasn't that busy - I say to my wife - I bet we can't find a single skinny person inside Walmart.
I will guess 50% clearly obese, 25% fat, 20% chubby and 5% what I call normal.
I saw a lady on a scooter following her husband (I assume) - I heard her say - this thing is really slow, husband says - because the weight limit is only 300 pounds.
Not saying everything is great - but most of any hardship people have is self inflicted.
A large part of it is THE FOOD itself. They put toxins and chemicals in the food to make people fat. They want people fat, slow, and unable to fight back. I am not saying that it is 100% the food, but the food doesn't help. Just look at pictures of the people in the 1970's. Hardly anyone was fat and I am sure that they ate just as much as the people of today do.

This may be just a bit counter to what Greg is saying but my appraisal is as follows: First, this will not be like hitting a light switch, sudden, immediate and complete.Yes, it's coming to be sure but to think that Powell, Bessn-whatever and the powers in charge are going to unroll something as complex and all-encompassing as this and get it exactly right the first time is delusional. There will be false starts, aborted attempts intermingled with ever deepening crisis after crisis by the time the final interation comes down everyone will know what is coming and their only remedy will be brute force, and that's where it gets really, really dangerous for the common man. Therefore I believe it is very dangerous to set forth a personal game plan, set in stone, with the hopes of running it to some conclusion.
I think the best advice is to stay very observant, not be paniced into any one direction, be flexible and to game plan any what-ifs you can accurately identify. For instance, having a safe full of guns and ammunition may be comforting until "they" decree that you can't have them any more. Where will you hide them? How will you access them? The same goes with precious metals, food stores as well as other prepper items. You just have to think this all through and very carefully.
The reality is that you may be at war with your own government and that might be tthe hardest nut to swallow. At the very least I think you can consider your relationship will become adversarial.
As I said, this will not be an event but a process and it will take some time to fully develop. Don't panic, don't over-react just be observant and try to see over the horizon. How did we get so many obese people if life is so taxing?
Wife needed some cleaning supplies and light bulbs so we hit the local Walmart around 8:30 PM Thursday. It wasn't that busy - I say to my wife - I bet we can't find a single skinny person inside Walmart.
I will guess 50% clearly obese, 25% fat, 20% chubby and 5% what I call normal.
I saw a lady on a scooter following her husband (I assume) - I heard her say - this thing is really slow, husband says - because the weight limit is only 300 pounds.
Not saying everything is great - but most of any hardship people have is self inflicted.
A large part of it is THE FOOD itself. They put toxins and chemicals in the food to make people fat. They want people fat, slow, and unable to fight back. I am not saying that it is 100% the food, but the food doesn't help. Just look at pictures of the people in the 1970's. Hardly anyone was fat and I am sure that they ate just as much as the people of today do.

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant.
They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes .
Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-based paints.
We had no child proof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking..
As infants & children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, booster seats, seat belts or air bags.
Riding in the back of a pick up on a warm day was always a special treat.
We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle.
We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this.
We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank Kool-aid made with sugar, but we weren't overweight because,
WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!
We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.
No one was able to reach us all day. And we were OK.
We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.
We did not have Play stations, Nintendo 's, X-boxes, no video games at all,no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVD's, no surround-sound or CD's, no cell phones, no personal computers, no Internet or chat rooms.......
WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!
We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these accidents.
We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.
We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls and although we were told it would happen, we did not poke out very many eyes.
We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them!
Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!!
The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!
These generations have produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever!
The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.
We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned HOW TO DEAL WITH IT ALL!

Yes, and if a teen boy passed us girls in the school hallway and tried to grope a 'boob', sometimes successfully - it wasn't fun, but our parents never sued the school or boy's parents. We grew up faster then - it was expected because our parents had same treatment. The school system is responsible for changes we've seen since the ww2 "Great Generation" has passed. This is on purpose! No coddling then. If I broke my neck falling out of a neighbor's tree, they were not to be sued. Broke my leg. LOL! I believe it is because that generation's parents were from smaller towns, farms or cities where their parents worked hard and there was just no time to 'babysit' or even seen as necessary once you were say, ten years old (in my case). I babysat my two younger siblings at that age with parents having 'date night' each Saturday. It was normal then to be an adult when you were a "kid". I am in touch with people in UK and France; they will simply not stand up for themselves in numbers required. They are NOT their ancestors.

This may be just a bit counter to what Greg is saying but my appraisal is as follows: First, this will not be like hitting a light switch, sudden, immediate and complete.Yes, it's coming to be sure but to think that Powell, Bessn-whatever and the powers in charge are going to unroll something as complex and all-encompassing as this and get it exactly right the first time is delusional. There will be false starts, aborted attempts intermingled with ever deepening crisis after crisis by the time the final interation comes down everyone will know what is coming and their only remedy will be brute force, and that's where it gets really, really dangerous for the common man. Therefore I believe it is very dangerous to set forth a personal game plan, set in stone, with the hopes of running it to some conclusion.
I think the best advice is to stay very observant, not be paniced into any one direction, be flexible and to game plan any what-ifs you can accurately identify. For instance, having a safe full of guns and ammunition may be comforting until "they" decree that you can't have them any more. Where will you hide them? How will you access them? The same goes with precious metals, food stores as well as other prepper items. You just have to think this all through and very carefully.
The reality is that you may be at war with your own government and that might be tthe hardest nut to swallow. At the very least I think you can consider your relationship will become adversarial.
As I said, this will not be an event but a process and it will take some time to fully develop. Don't panic, don't over-react just be observant and try to see over the horizon. This has happened to others before and the fact that there is still a human race proves that anything is survivable, at least for some.

He has mentioned on most of his videos, for a long time that one must have "tangible assets" primarily (govt cannot manipulate through bank and brokerage internet grabs/wipe out of your $$$). You must, if possible have some gold (such as 1/10th oz smallest size gold coins) and cheaper, loads of silver coins AND try soon to Own your own house or condo! Own your own vehicle. No debts, so at least you cannot be herded into a BlackRock owned neighborhood of 15-minute cities/towns with disgusting, tiny places you rent and maybe even share with complete strangers (as they did in Soviet countries!). Only regularly put in bank what you need to pay bills every month (if bank fails on a weekend, don't want them to keep too much of you cash!). Credit unions are not fail-safe but "safer to switch to" instead of banks, many say this (including Greg). Have cash on hand for emergency shut down/lock down especially when arrest follows bank closures. Keep tank full of gas, Fill up when 1/2 full so you are never caught without full tank if need to go somewhere during a crisis. Stock up on non-perishable emergency food and Clean water. Follow Greg's advice on some stocks he may mention so you have something to cash in if banks go down or your brokerage "cash" disappears - you can ride out the "lows" and know your $$$ is still in something you can access later on.

Yes, happened to my cousins that have been cattle ranchers in Florida since it became a State! Overtime, surrounded by luxury developments so the property taxes went up. They couldn't make the profit to run business, pay taxes, etc. likely would be forced to inject cattle with "mnRna" crappola anyway, so sold out. It made the old grandpa just sick, heartbroken - it's happening to farmers and ranchers everywhere. I no longer like Willie Nelson, singer/songwriter because he was always supposed to support the farmers with an association he always funded and advertised, but he's still a dang radicalized, Dem (based on ridiculous comments he made a few mths ago). He doesn't understand how his Party has changed - it has, my family voted Dem since Roosevelt (no more!).
He has mentioned on most of his videos, for a long time that one must have "tangible assets" primarily (govt cannot manipulate through bank and brokerage internet grabs/wipe out of your $$$). You must, if possible have some gold (such as 1/10th oz smallest size gold coins) and cheaper, loads of silver coins AND try soon to Own your own house or condo! Own your own vehicle. No debts, so at least you cannot be herded into a BlackRock owned neighborhood of 15-minute cities/towns with disgusting, tiny places you rent and maybe even share with complete strangers (as they did in Soviet countries!). Only regularly put in bank what you need to pay bills every month (if bank fails on a weekend, don't want them to keep too much of you cash!). Credit unions are not fail-safe but "safer to switch to" instead of banks, many say this (including Greg). Have cash on hand for emergency shut down/lock down especially when arrest follows bank closures. Keep tank full of gas, Fill up when 1/2 full so you are never caught without full tank if need to go somewhere during a crisis. Stock up on non-perishable emergency food and Clean water. Follow Greg's advice on some stocks he may mention so you have something to cash in if banks go down or your brokerage "cash" disappears - you can ride out the "lows" and know your $$$ is still in something you can access later on.

Well you have been saying for a long time Greg that debt is the driver of this market. Agreed. Trump (whether he knew or didn't) just pricked the bubble. His actions are not going to cause inflationary effects and nor are they going to make the rust belt come alive again. No, his actions will cause price inflation at first and then debt collapse which is deflation. The economy as you so eloquently put it was already in bad shape. People were already strained. The Fed doesn't lead the market it follows it. The entities that know what is happening first are always the business people. They already know the pain. The Fed will try and lower interest rates again in some emergency rate drops meetings but I think unless they go negative (which is possible) I don't think it will stop the price collapse. What has been going on for decades around us (you have had to been awake to see it) and most recently the last 8 to 10 years I monumental..
It has been a slow burn (most recently much faster). All by design to encapsulate us and trigger our emotions. To confuse, arrause and make us anticipate somethings that clearly won't happen (done on purpose to waste our time) and most everything else to get out attentions.
For me its a board game... Always has been, life is like this.. We need to look at life 3 dimensionally and anticipate some of the "what ifs".. These being the most important things. Priotize..
Having every prepped and money outside the system is great.. But you need alliances, groups, protection, communications and a steady base to plant it all on..
