Appears to be valve float - might have to increase seat pressure. Possibly coil bind but this would show up all over.

You floated the valves,. Wound her up to tight. Look for bent valves and damaged piston. Needs stronger valve springs.

Geez! Those rods are wickedly bent! Greg, in your case, it wasn't a race to the bottom like our friends are doing over at the Federal Reserve and FTX... lol!

As long as the turbo encabulator wasn’t damaged that should be easy to fix

I’m sure you have bent valves and damaged pistons also. Hopefully it didn’t get the cylinder walls. Over-rev and from what I’ve seen maybe too much nitrous?

G, I probably should have added (you may already know) the reason is probably either push rods need to be upgraded, push rods were misadjusted, or lack of oil to push rods due to front end rising during rapid acceleration ( necessitating a deep sump oil pan and possibly a higher cfm oil pump).

I have a 69 and 79 Camaro. My 69 has a similar failure. I think mine skipped time and plowed valves into pistons. I won't be cutting into it this season as I can't afford to fix. Hopefully next summer. Awsome cars. I wish you and your car well. Cheers.
