Great tribute Greg, I had seen the admiration you had for Ed over the years. You always talked about him and his great service. Although I am not an American I have met one other survivor from Pearl Harbor A man named Harrold Estes several years ago. He invited me and my family for a private tour not for the public aboard the admiral barge and we got to see the back part of pearl harbor where nobody is permitted. He was 96 when I met him in Hawaii on vacation and actually met him on the USS Missouri battleship. He told me of that time when he was there also during the attack. Great respect for the men of this era. Thanks for sharing Greg and only fitting that he will forever remembered on the greatest day , Veterans day. Rest Ed and thank you for your service... you deserve this and you earned it.. Cheers from Canada.

The WWII Vets are leaving us Greg.Ed stuck it out a long time! My Dad served in Korea with the USMC (Chosin Reservoir) known as the Chosin Few. Most didn’t make it out. My turn was as a FMF Corpsman (Greeny) in Vietnam. I have lost so many friends from that shit show, I can’t begin to count them. The Gulf War and Afghanistan SOGs are all fucked up from vaccines and being experimented on by VA hospital doctors. They don’t treat us Veterans very well. If I hear “Thank you for your service” again I’m going to croak! I got paid for my service. What’s the big deal here?

It looks like a lot of good men and women were sacrificed by a few evil bastards at the top level ,Respect to you and others that had to go through this shit.
